Outdoor Occupational Therapist: OT / OTA

Treeline Enrichment provides nature based occupational therapy services in Plant City, Florida.  We provide individual and small group sessions for children ages 2-15.  Our thriving practice provides skilled intervention that is strengths-based, client focused, grounded in research and theory, collaborative, and comprehensive.

Position: 

  • We are looking for a part-time, fee-for-service employee who desires to work in an inspirational outdoor pediatric setting.  
  • Minimum availability for 8-12 client hours per week (for individual sessions and/or groups), when services are in session.  Opportunities to increase hours may be explored. 
  • At Treeline Enrichment, we value all professional time.  Additional time to complete notes, reports, parent communication, develop home programs etc. is supported and paid based on the fee-for-service schedule.  

Therapist responsibilities include: 

    • Identifying strengths and engaging children in nature based interventions
    • Completing initial evaluations and reevaluations outdoors (OTR)
    • Planning and leading outdoor social groups
    • Writing daily documentation using an electronic medical record system
    • Developing home programs 
    • Generating progress reports (OTR)
    • Establishing goals in collaboration with parents (OTR)
    • Supervising volunteers and/or fieldwork students 
    • Celebrating achievements with parents via Teletherapy
    • Communicating with families across media (email, video, text, phone, online)
    • Participating in monthly team meetings
    • Committing to ongoing professional development

Ideal Candidates are Occupational Therapists (OT, OTA) that are: 

  • Fun, responsive, hard working, creative, flexible, and independently organized;
  • Strong communication, both verbally and in writing;
  • Experienced working with individuals with developmental delays, ASD, sensory processing differences, ADHD, ADD, anxiety, learning disorders, self-regulation difficulties;
  • Passionate about nature and connecting children to the great outdoors; and
  • Deeply connected to personal and professional growth. 

Qualifications: 

  • Valid Florida OT licensure (OT or OTA) or eligible for Florida licensure
  • Pediatric therapy experience: 3 year minimum
  • CPR and First Aid Certified
  • Cleared Level 2 fingerprinting and background check 

Requirements: 

  • Availability at least 2 afternoons a week (2:00-6:00pm)
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Be able to walk, run, climb trees, hike, carry all supplies with you during and between therapy sessions
  • Access to a reliable computer
  • Confident, comfortable, and willing to learn new electronic platforms, including Trello, Theranest, Loom, Google Classroom, G-Suite, etc.
  • Access to all weather gear, including rain jacket, rain pants, rain shoes, and a waterproof backpack or duffle bag.
  • Be comfortable outdoors in all weather conditions as therapy sessions only shelter in the event of lightning or high winds.  

Compensation: 

  • Fee for Service Pay rates start at $45 per individual session (OTR).  Full pay schedule will be reviewed during the interview process.
  • This fee-for-service employee pay rate accounts for your time to plan, communicate, support, and document.

    • At Treeline Enrichment, we believe in work-life balance.  As such, services are paused for 1 week at Thanksgiving, 2-3 weeks for Winter Break, 1 week for Spring Break, and over the summer.

Certified Play Provider

Treeline Enrichment provides forest based play enrichment programs in Plant City, Florida. Our thriving program provides experiences that are child-led, rooted in research and theory, supportive of diverse ways of thinking and doing, and responsive to the interests and curiosities of children ages 18 months to age 13.   

Position: 

  • We are looking for a part-time, fee-for-service employee who desires to work in an inspirational outdoor setting.
  • Averaging 10 program hours per month, when programs are in session, with a focus on the early childhood age group.  Opportunities to increase hours by adding additional programs may be explored. 
  • At Treeline enrichment, we value all professional time.  Additional time to complete planning, site set up and clean up, parent communication, etc., will be supported and reimbursed.  

Position responsibilities include: 

    • Understanding child development and springboarding grand play experiences outdoors 
    • Planning program days following core philosophies and guiding curriculum
    • Leading a comprehensive forest-play program
    • Staging creative play inspirations 
    • Writing weekly parent communication 
    • Developing home extension suggestions
    • Supervising and mentoring play guides
    • Communicating with parents 
    • Celebrating growth and development with families
    • Advocating for time outdoors in our communities 
    • Participating in monthly team meetings
    • Collaborating with the Treeline leadership team 
    • Commiting to ongoing professional development

Ideal Candidates are:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years working with children in a professional capacity 
  • Willing to complete required training and maintain good standing with professional organizations
  • CPR and First Aid Certified
  • Cleared Level 2 fingerprinting and background check

Requirements: 

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Be able to walk, run, hike, and navigate up, down, around, and through outdoor Florida terrain
  • Access to a reliable computer
  • Confident, comfortable, and willing to learn new electronic platforms, including Trello, G-Suite, Canva, Calendly, Loom, etc.
  • Access to all weather gear, including rain jacket, rain pants, and rain shoes.
  • Be comfortable outdoors in all weather conditions as programs only shelter in the event of lightning or high winds.  

Compensation: 

  • Fee for Service pay rates start at $75 per 2-hour program day, PLUS additional bonus pay opportunities (full pay schedule will be reviewed during the interview process).
  • This fee-for-service employee pay rate accounts for your time to plan, set up, clean up, and communicate.
  • The cost of the required position-specific training / education is paid.
  • One dependant may attend your programs at no cost

Treeline Play Guide

Treeline Enrichment provides nature based play enrichment programs in Plant City, Florida. Our thriving program provides experiences that are child-led, rooted in research and theory, supportive of diverse ways of thinking and doing, and responsive to the interests and curiosities of children ages 18 months to age 13.  

Position: 

  • We are looking for a flexible part-time, hourly employee who desires to work in an inspirational outdoor setting.
  • Available select days based on scheduled programs (Monday-Saturday).  Anticipate 2-8 days per month (4-6 hours per day).  Schedule will vary each month.
  • Position responsibilities include: 
    • Understanding child development and springboarding grand play experiences outdoors 
    • Assisting with the leadership of comprehensive nature play programs
    • Supporting the set-up and clean up of creative play environments 
    • Communicating with parents on site
    • Guiding kids immersed in nature play 
    • Monitoring the play environment for safety
    • Participating in team meetings
    • Collaborating with the Treeline team 
    • Commiting to ongoing professional development

Compensation: 

  • Hourly pay rate starts at $15 per hour.  
  • Discounted registration for 1 dependent
